Master Of Architecture | University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development | U of M
At the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning I simultaneously completed the 3G M.Arch and the Certificate of Graduate Studies of Real Estate Development. The certificate is offered through the Rackham Graduate School at the University of Michigan. The Real Estate Certificate is a 17 credit program covering a range of real estate topics.
The 3G M.Arch program is a multidisciplinary cohort designed for students who hold a non-architecture bachelor’s degrees from undergraduate study. The program is a high intensity immersion into the studio work environment and completes six design studios and a master's thesis as part of the more than 100 graduate level credits graduation requirement. My graduate thesis title "Dross[ing] Urban Fabric" expands on Lars Lerup definition of dross and Allen Berger later categorization of types of dross. My work begins to study drossing as an active process and additional lens which we can observe urban morphology. This topic was studied within the "Urban Externalities" section viewing pieces of the deteriorating built environment as enclaves externalized form our urbanism however concurrently occupying it. Look out to the street in front of you. What has happened here has not yet come to pass.

I led the university tradition Broomball for three years greatly expanding the program. I also worked as a Management Assistant with building facilities and as a Resident Assistant working with student residents. As a member of the Student Commission I led the effort to revitalize campus waterfront property. These and more projects and initiatives were a core part of my time at Michigan Tech.
