In April of 2012, for an academic project, I discovered the vacant piece of property that the city of Grand Rapid's had not yet issued an RFP for.  It was the byproduct of the seward extension south and was easily identifiable as a premium opporunitity as a gateway to the Westside and a direct interface to the Grand Valley State University downtown campus. 

The development concept I proposed is similar to what Rockford Development ultimatly put together.
