A Bit of Background

Throughout my life I have been fascinated with our built environment; the urban world.  My work pursues a braid of interests within the professional fields that produce it.  Weaving together my interests has fueled what has become a life long pursuit of exploration and practice. My work focuses on a multi-disciplinary approach in effort to advance our interpretation and production of the built environment.  Exploring urban morphology and operating with a balance of art, skill, trade, and craft in my work, I seek practice that joins theory and pragmatism.

Trained as a Civil Engineer at Michigan Technological University, I continued onto a second professional degree at the University of Michigan earning a Masters degree in Architecture at the Taubman College. While developing interests in research and my creative process at Michigan, I simultaneously earned a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development through the Rackham Graduate School which included courses at both Taubman of Urban Planning and the Ross School of Business.

In academia, I strove to develop in multiple facets through completing internships, leading extracurricular organizations, teaching as a graduate student instructor, entering competitions, and presenting my work in a variety of forums. Constructing a unique combination of both technical and creative capabilities, I continue to develop and offer experience and insight.

Teaching as a graduate student instructor, I discovered a fulfilling combination of working and supporting others. I seek to develop a hybrid career that allows me to keep exploring and teaching, whether it be coworkers or clients, while producing a high-value work product.

Pragmatically, I am run Ambit+Limen | Development Studio and contact us to learn more about our collaborative and unique holistic approach to the real estate development.  I also offer services as an independent consultant via the National Charter Schools Institute.
